you have to angle it like a fountain (in an arc going about 40 degrees) for it to go further

Shouldnt aiming up as high as possible then flicking your mouse down work?

No, think of the boomer vomit flying like lots of little arcs.

I have already used that console command.I still dont understand why moving up and down doesnt confirm that my arc is correct since its every arc degree possible

Im completely sure my arc did touch the survivor
Like there isnt some build up meter where you need to get many of your arcs to touch a survivor or a survivor can out strafe the travel time?

depends on ppls lerp and or latency also / server rate as well as the arc, best to try and pre empt the target'(s) and aim ahead for e.g or boom earlier?

It seems as so, but the vomit is probably just delayed. The animation happens before the actual vomit hits any survivor

Best way to get consistent at vomitting is getting pregnant by wiggling the mouse in every directions. Since you only need one single arc ray to connect to get a survivor biled, you want to maximize the area covered during the time arcs are generated.

the following needs to be properly fact-check, but I've noticed boomer gets more range if he just dropped from a significative height, like just after doing a rocketboom. But i'm not sure

You have to arc it upward to have more range so if you're somewhere high you'll have quite a bit but not a lot as you'll still have to be close... honestly the best spots for boomers would be the extremely tight corridors like the beginning of chapter 3 of No Mercy where there's little to no room to dodge.

Technically is 45º is the longer range you can get..
A launch angle of 45 degrees displaces the projectile the farthest horizontally. This is due to the nature of right triangles.

What I was saying is you get bonus range if you've fallen down from a high spot before you puke.

Yes there is a server variable that delays the boomers puke, from memory it is 1 second by default.

boomer_vomit_delay : 1 : , "sv", "cheat" : How long the Boomer waits before he vomits on his target on Normal difficulty
