make sure you turn motd off because these servers have had intrustive ads / malware in their motd before
Thank you. Yeah it was Hentai. Now two follow up question if you would.
1) How do I play on that specific server? Sorry i'm semi new to PC gaming. Converted from Xbox.
2) What's motd and how do I turn it off?
because it is HTML it can be loaded with junk
Do you have the developer's console enabled?
If not this can be enabled in Options > Keyboard/Mouse
and then click on "allow developer console" This allows to access the console by pressing: `
Commands
1) openserverbrowser
2) cl_disablehtmlmotd 1
What they do
1) Opens up the server browser, allows you to EASILY search for spercific games, make sure to select "custom" and change the filters removing empty/full servers and password protected ones, you can change latency(ping) The lower the better, I usually do <150
In this you should see Hentai r@pe / Lewd4Dead and be able to join it on double clicking.
Note: IF you do use this method and join Valve servers, just be warned they may be friends only, there is an issue where you can accidently join friends only game, which may be the reason why you get kicked.
2) Disables motd that can have malicious malware or just annoying ads. This uses a boolean statement (true or false) which in this case is (0 = false, 1 = true) and 1 enables it to disable html motd. (You still get Message of the day, but no HTML)
First of all, you gotta have the Developer's console enabled
1) In "Set launch options" ( Before you open the game ) write "-sb_all_bot_team 1" ( without quotation marks )
2) Open the game and open the console, then write the following
* sv_cheats 1
* sb_unstick 0 ( prevents bots from teleporting )
* sb_all_bot_game 1 ( The command you wrote in the launch options will let you play with bots without closing the server, and this command will make the bots go their way to the safe room ) not sure tbh, but if I don't write that, they don't even move
3) Write the map you wanna play, and add "versus" at the end
Example
c1m1_hotel versus
Note : If you change team, the server will close
The sb_all_bot_game as the command implies makes the bot not rely on following the human player and instead will move towards the saferoom, of course coming back if a fellow bot is pulled.
Likewise, I'd recommend this mod for single player versus as it saves alot of time with commands:

Thank you very much for real. I appreciate it. Command 2 didn't work though
the command just makes it so you don't see the html pop ups in the motd, I most likely should've said that instead of just "Disables motd".
In otherwords, you'll still have the MOTD that you must close, but there won't be annoying ads or malicious malware in the MOTD since you disabled the HTML from it.
Do I wait until I get into the game to enter that command? (2)
You can enter the command anytime and it'll take affect, even in the server, next time you see the MOTD the HTML is disabled. This applies to most commands.
It says unknwon command when I put it in
