And find skips like the carnival roller coaster. (Actually discovered you can skip it without triggering it)
You have to jump ur way up the side, I can't ever seem to get up there tho ;-;
You have to bhop at the right time to get ontop of that small roof thing and go under the small space to get to the otherside under the track.
If you thought bhop was hard wait till you see trying to get it on time to get across, if you fail you'll either incap yourself or damage yourself greatly.
Hold on, excuse me? This is a public discussion, and I expressed my opinion on it. I was in no way being snarky, I was just saying why essentially get the bhop done for you whereas if you learn it you'll eventually get better at it and can use it anywhere you want? I find that incredibly rude dude, and I wasn't even replying to you, otherwise I would've quoted you. And yes I know you will need the best ping to get good consistent hops, but I mean on servers located in your country where it is 30~ or lower and decently easy to bhop on if you are good enough. Your reply was in no way necessary to me.
You're going on about newbies yet you yourself only have 655 hours. Seems legit, understandable have a great day.
Lol. I play for fun, achievements don't mean anything to me. Achievements don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ matter if you are experienced at playing the actual game. Come play with me on survival if you want, we can see who's a noob then can't we? ;)
Did I claim I was a pro? No. I said I play for fun. If someone plays for fun they aren't exactly going to go out of their way to tryhard for every achievement, and to do everything to become a 'pro' in the game. Your logic there makes no sense. If they don't mean much I won't get them, because...They don't mean much. LMAO.
in some games, runs go for hours, and see you might have a trick which is 1/100 to get, but if you miss it, it ends your run. Nobody will go for that in a regular run, because of the time expenditure. Might be 100s of hours before you hit it in a run. TAS allows you to include it.
TAS runs aren't about getting around a skill barrier, just about letting people know what is the peak speed, which isn't attainable by humans. it's purely for show, not so much about skill.
By the way, no, speedrun doesn't mean running and not jumping.. smh
Games Done Quick has a TAS segment with TASbot, because it is impressive to see the run they put together, it isn't as easy as "omg a script does it for you", they still play each and every frame of the game.

Otherwise, watch other speedruns. Scope out any competition, see what shortcuts they use and more importantly, what method they use to do the shortcut. Whether the shortcuts are just normal jumps, parkour or common boosts/zombie head jumps. Hell, maybe even a tank punching you just right. The crane crescendo on the second map of Dead Air is a fine example of the latter. Just let a tank punch you to the other side.
Or, when playing expert, you could skip massive portions using explosive ammo and a shotgun. Again, a good example is the second map of Dead Air when you're past the crane crescendo. Get on the container, onto the building and then you can jump down from the next building and if you time your explosive ammo shot just right, the explosive ammo will knock you back, cancelling the fall damage. Congratulations, you have skipped the entire office section. Just make sure it's on expert though, the knockback won't work below that difficulty.
The same goes with propane tanks. The second map of Hard Rain at the elevator crescendo is the most famous example. Get a shotgun (preferably an auto), find a propane tank, drop it off the edge, hold spacebar and carefully walk off it. Then when you're about to hit the ground shoot the can. Again, the knockback from the explosion will cancel the fall damage.
TL;DR: watch other speedruns. See what shortcuts they use and more importantly, HOW they do it.
