The map controls the bots. Or at least, it contains their pathing, which is all the same for every A.I. controlled character, and every character has the same controls.
if it was a local server then that's possible, but if not then you just missed them, because in online play (vanilla, official server) your mods are purely visual, they only apply ther scripts if you play in local or in singleplayer. it may also be due to lerp/ping/delay on your end.
