How do I deal with toxic players?

I was in this game recently and this guy got really salty so he switched to the enemy team. The guy on the enemy team joined after he switched so he had to join our team, then they kicked me for literally no reason??????

There's never no reason for a kick, you simply don't know the reason or aren't willing to accep their reason as a valid reason.

Instead of giving you a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ answer that doesn't explain much and telling you to move on I'm gonna explain this to you.

The left 4 dead 2 versus community has a large majority of very competitive players and they will kick/laugh at anyone with sub-par play. You probably went down a few times or messed up during an attack. They wont seem to give you constructive criticism either but there are good people out there who can teach you how to improve.

eh, I wouldn't let it get to you. They're just insecure people that don't have the balls to tell someone to leave the game kindly or have social skills to make friends.

also they're seriously competitive and "professional" on the wrong mode when there's a realism... versus mode that I just realized was there. I don't even think the vets are even playing the real game yet.

Some of the players on this game are just idiots who think that anyone who doesn't play perfectly are scum. Others are actually pretty nice and try to teach newer people who don't know the game that well. You just seemed to get into a game with some of the former.

It sucks, but I guess you just have to be lucky.

I've run into this as well. What I do is let it go and go on into another game, hopefully one with nicer, more mature players, repeat as much as necessary or just start your own lobby.
I think people forget that this is a game sometimes. If you look at it from that perspective you'll see people like this as they truly are... people getting pissy over a video game. Also fun to see those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ get pummled or slurpped up by a smoker.

I always use the admin system in local server since it is very easy to use it and be protected from anti-toxic players, and I always put these commands very important to avoid problems:

first_aid_heal_percent 1 -> Avoid that the players steal the kits, so they heal with only one to complete health.
sv_allow_votes 0 -> Avoid that they initiate a vote without our permission and ruin your experience.
survivor_friendly_fire_factor_normal 0
survivor_friendly_fire_factor_hard 0
survivor_friendly_fire_factor_expert 0 -> No more friendly fire for tks.
vs_max_team_switches 0 -> Do not let babies change their equipment no matter how much you want to be with your friend or do not like your team.

Although this seems like a good way to play I absolutely refuse to play online , period. I am a 67 year old man with a setup that is more than capable of handling this game. I have twin sons who also have very good systems (better than mine) who also play this game. We have a more than adequate internet connection. My reason is a problem with players which has recently come about. It is also more than apparent with Tekken7. Lag switching. Why anyone needs to lag switch in this game is beyond me but it is a problem that is not being addressed. I have a lot of time and money invested in games and equipment. I don't intend to let my valuable time nor that of my family be wasted by people who should not be members of this community.

or better yet go to recently played with (shift + tab) find their name and block them if their name dosent show up because they are lagging your game wait a few seconds after leaving the game find their name and block them. Instead of creating local servers eventually those people will have to create new accounts but thats fine because old habits die hard. (repeat the process and happy BLOCKING!)

It is a better idea in my opinion to register a complaint against the player. This should not be tolerated. The game was designed to be enjoyed. Lag switches could be considered as infernal devices because they are being used to deprive other players of their enjoyment illegally.
