Steam kinda sucks, the client UI is clunky ASF - even streaming gameplay videos on a fiber connection is painful - and as others mentioned, nothing is ever free except free to play. This platform takes such a healthy chunk from game devs, and that fat guy is still stingy. No wonder key sites are so popular.

Anyways I'm a bit north of an hour into the Epic free version of Rage 2 on a SLI 980M notebook. Not one issue. Thanks Epic!

but the epic client has all these feature? ohh wait no, they dont even have basics

sweeney knows that fortnite wont be a cashcow forever, so he needs more ways to make money... and for that he needs customers
NOTHING is for free on this planet

i am not complaining. i just say, that noone is a saint in this game

and yes it would be great if valve would give away some AAA games now and then and make real money with DLCs, or ingame money like GTA5 and RAGE2 have it

Yes but having a monopoly is just as bad. It's like choosing between two evils. If epic becomes the dominant storefront and continues their exclusivity practices, then I'd vouch more for steam but a competition war today is good for the consumer tomorrow.

Lol, WHO CARES? A FREE $60 game that mostly functions (and no doubt functions better than the whiners say). No loss huge gain. Whine about something important.

Hope you have fun with the game, been waiting before it released and still didn't get around to playing, will pick up the deluxe one day on sale then let it sit atleast a good few months in my library, that's how it usually goes.

cs dota and tf2 dont count as they are made by valve. just like epic has fortnite you cant fault them its their game after all. what we talk about is crap like hitman and tony hawk pro skater.

This works out well for me - absolutely loved Rage, wanted a sequel for ages, really enjoyed the new Wolfenstein/Doom games' combat but skipped this one because coins.

As a fan of id that likes Rage I would have liked to play earlier and support the franchise, but actually free is pretty good, too.

Anyone who is a Borderlands fan...you notice a lot of .. "Borderlands Influence" all over this game. I personally so far a not a huge fan of Rage2 but can't complain too much as I got it for free on Epic...
