Game worth it?
I enjoyed the first and would love to be able to stop the authority (this time). To any other fans, would you recommend it?

I would recommend the game just know that the gameplay kinda carries it, its not gonna be a deep story or flawless open world. The open world is fairly average and basically just gives you progression items and lets you engulf yourself in combat.

So I would recommend it as for me the gameplay was enough to carry it despite its other shortcomings.

yes, it is certainly worth it, in my opinion. The gameplay is fast, similar to Doom and once you have some upgrades it becomes a really fun game. Also, if you like clearing out enemy outposts, like Far Cry, it will scratch that itch.

Well this game is a bit different then the 1st as it isn't just a cover based shooter. It's closer to Doom in regards to game-play, but also has unique abilities, not unlike lets say Devil may Cry, but in a shooter as opposed to a hack-&-slash.

Most tend to wait until one of the seasonal sales(I did) to grab this game since it comes down in price quite a bit. If u do decide to buy it I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND the Deluxe edition over the base game. The Ghosts DLC is quite good and not only features a brand new location to explore and enemy to fight, but also a new ability and weapon. Both r very good. Also, the BFG ;)

As "Eternalvoid" said, this game relies on its gameplay. The open world is more like an open Sandbox, but it serves its purpose. The enemies r diverse and plentiful. The harder difficulties will also provide a serious challenge in regards to re-play value. Personally after playing this game as well as seeing the B.S initial negative reviews from alot of gaming channels in regards to this game I no longer pay ANY attention to gaming reviews. Whether they be IGN or small indie reviewers. Too much dishonesty.

Deluxe version free still for the next 5 days if you have Amazon Prime, get code for Epic or GOG, i forget. Unless you want steam points/achievements.

Sadly they never fixed it and likely never will, I got this bug on launch day. I always just save before doing it then load that in if it breaks. Only real issue I had really, still enjoyed the game tho.

Would you say it's closer to Doom 2016 or Eternal?

I'd say 2016 since switching weapons is recommended but you don't have to be as godlike, if you like a weapon best, you can stick with it.

But just my opinion, others might feel different.
