So I would recommend it as for me the gameplay was enough to carry it despite its other shortcomings.
Most tend to wait until one of the seasonal sales(I did) to grab this game since it comes down in price quite a bit. If u do decide to buy it I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND the Deluxe edition over the base game. The Ghosts DLC is quite good and not only features a brand new location to explore and enemy to fight, but also a new ability and weapon. Both r very good. Also, the BFG ;)
As "Eternalvoid" said, this game relies on its gameplay. The open world is more like an open Sandbox, but it serves its purpose. The enemies r diverse and plentiful. The harder difficulties will also provide a serious challenge in regards to re-play value. Personally after playing this game as well as seeing the B.S initial negative reviews from alot of gaming channels in regards to this game I no longer pay ANY attention to gaming reviews. Whether they be IGN or small indie reviewers. Too much dishonesty.
Sadly they never fixed it and likely never will, I got this bug on launch day. I always just save before doing it then load that in if it breaks. Only real issue I had really, still enjoyed the game tho.
But just my opinion, others might feel different.
