The game most likely doesnt save the camp state as "halfway cleared". It either saves it as "cleared" or "not cleared". It might save instantly when you open boxes though.
Reading it now again I see it says if you manually save progress is saved only to the last checkpoint. What is the point of manually saved games then? The checkpoints don't save?
Btw, in Skyrim I had over 2,000 saves. There is absolutely no excuse not to have infinite save game slots in a PC game in 2019 IMHO. Console ports. Blah.
Thank you both though, appreciate the feedback and help. If anyone else has any insight, appreciate it. I hate having to refight the same enemies all over again.
The dens in Rage 2 are a joke, a few of the spots are difficult if you are just starting out, much like the Recharging Stations or whatever where you somewhat fight waves off without trying to do, you just need to be geared up and runaway a lot if getting killed lol.
I miss the Halo-like Health from Rage 1, but the nanotrite/hp system isn't bad. The game gets way too easy once you start upgrading your abilities, hopefully the new Nightmare mode makes it more difficult, and I hope they fixed the "Easy Bug" which kept reverting players to Easy mode knowingly or not.
