CreateDXGIFactory2 - dxgi.dll Error - FIXED

first of, the FIX: simply install reshade into ur rage 2 folder - the usual way, like on any other game. after that i had a new error, but easy fix for this:
(ONLY IF U ALSO HAVE THIS ISSUE. IF NOT, U DON'T NEED TO DO THIS) copy&paste missing file "api-ms-win-core-synch-l1-2-0.dll from ur system32 folder into rage 2 main folder. my game runs now.

so i installed this lovely piece of code yesterday on this thingy called a launcher by sweeney and his crew and got this error.
looked it up, tried differend ♥♥♥♥, nothing works - i usually fix anything i come across but i see no chance on this one.
since this dxgi error is related to sweetFX, im even more confused, because i don't use any sweetFX, just reshade but that's not even in the rage 2 folder, since i got it yesterday....

everything is up-to-date, i tried window mode, offline mode, renaming dxgi and so on.

anybody around with a great idea? anything other than "don't play this garbage" pls :D i waited and waited for a really cheap price tag, around 5 bucks, to buy rage 2, but now it is free and here we are.

Exact same issue here. Tried updating/rolling back drivers, messing around with dll-s, messing around with windows settings (using 7 btw), messing around with nvidia settings. Absolutely nothing. I recall having similar issues with Just Cause 4, so I assume it's an issue related to the Apex Engine, but I couldn't get that game working either.

wait, u mean u installed reshade INTO the rage 2 folder? but how should this fix the issue since the regular dxgi/d3d11 doesn't resolve the problem :D well, we r talking about bethesda.... nothing surprises me over there, right todd? right - it just works.

EDIT: IT REALLY WORKS LOL.... wtf?! :D alright so i installed reshade into rage 2 folder - same pie as u would install reshade on any other game, after that i got a new error - missing file "api-ms-win-core-synch-l1-2-0.dll" - just copy&paste this from ur system32 folder into rage 2 main folder. my game runs now.

Yes, where the game exe is. I have no idea, why it asks for the dxgi.dll but now it starts normally.

What version of reshade did you install and with what settings? I just tried it, and no change here. Still the same error as before :/

What version of reshade did you install and with what settings? I just tried it, and no change here. Still the same error as before :/

i used version 4.2.1 because it is the last really good one - IMO.

Thanks! I'm gonna do a fresh install, then give it another try. I suppose installing the default Sweetfx shader packs it offers and setting it Vulkan at the API select will do alright.

I've sent Bugthesda a support ticket, we'll see if that helps.

I just managed to get it working with 4.2.1, selecting Directx11 when installing. Looks you need an older version that doesn't actually support Vulkan lol.

don't waste ur time by waiting for help from these douche bags dude. just install 4.2.1 and u should be fine. btw, bugthesda doesn't even know what reshade is i guess :D

You only need to copy the dxgi.dll that comes with Reshade into the game folder.

doesn't matter if u install 3 files or only 1 :D and since all the new versions of reshade use autoinstaller, it is the easy way for most ppl i think.
