Epic Games - error on startup: "the procedure entry point createdxgifactory2 could not be located in the dynamic link library dxgi.dll"

After a lot of searching I finally found a fix for this and wanted to share it in the hope that it will help someone else. I got Rage 2 through Epic Games and the following error came up when trying to run the game:

"the procedure entry point createdxgifactory2 could not be located in the dynamic link library dxgi.dll"

The solution was to download reshade[www.reshade.me]. It's a .exe file but it can be opened with winrar. There are two .dll files: ReShade32.dll and ReShade64.dll.

Grab the 64 bit version, rename it to dxgi.dll and move it to your game folder.
E.g. C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Rage2

Now the game should start.

P.S. I had to turn Vsync on to get rid of glitches and also turned graphics quality to low. I don't think my old graphics card can handle it...

If you're running Windows 7 make sure you have the Platform Update installed.
If you are running a newer version make sure your files are not corrupted - run in an administrator command prompt:

sfc /scannow

Make sure it's updated to a Feature Update that's currently supported.
