a shame :/
They had a roadmap of content and didn't live up to it. For example, you may see that there is an unused race track in the north. It was meant for a community event that never happened. There are a few other buildings strewn around that appear to have been placeholders for future content.
I also love this game and would buy more DLC. It's really too bad. Most professional reviewers didn't understand this game, but I'm convinced that what really doomed Rage 2 was two things: (1) the god awful monitization (2) the unfixed bugs in the PC port. At least 80% of bad reviews from players are about one of those two things.
If I had a fortune, I'd but the rights to the game and fix those two, then have more content made. I had an idea for a Rage 2 roguelike mode that would be a cool DLC.
I know of the unused race track, as i've checked it out myself after traveling there in the Icarus. But what other buildings are you referring to, as the placeholders for future content?
Oh it has been too long, I have no idea where they were. But I have explored a lot and I can recall finding myself in a place that obviously took some effort to craft, yet there is nothing there, not even a crate. I seem to recall finding a place that appeared to be another possible race course, but my memory of that is vague. I'm pretty sure there was something that made me think there would be a mutant smash community event also, but I can't remember.
Sorry I don't don't have any good answers, I didn't take note of any of this stuff. I mostly just muttered my own disappointment at what happened and moved on.
yeah, the 2nd race course isn't too far from that one trade town in the North (which is also near the Greenhaven Ark, if I remember correctly). they probably did have something planned at one point, but then again, if they did, we would've been gotten news of some new material being released. And to my recollection, the only new content added, was that Stanley Express machine that's located at all of the trade towns that added some extra missions (one of which was killing a crusher mutant named Ruckus)
To be fair the game is much better than "barely passing". Check out the reviews and you can see how many bad ones point out one specific issue which should have been addressed but we're talking about lazy, indifferent Bethesda.
