Are there any followers/companions?

I know this isn't fallout, but I really enjoy having a follower with me.

I don't care if it's a robot or something, aslong as I can take anything with me so I won't feel lonely :)

It would've been cool, but nope.. There ain't any. The closest you'll get to a "follower" is the turrets you can throw out in combat.
