I know this is not helpful in your situation, however, I thought it was worth mentioning that the door did, in fact, open for me the next time I went through the area.
@TATTY, yes that seems to be the issue. For some people they will go back and the door is either open or will open for them. For others the door is closed and will not open anymore. Even the terminal in the lobby that you must activate when you first walk in, will not do anything.
I have a 2nd run on Nightmare that I will see if that playthrough is the same. However I made sure I grabbed that data pad the second time.
That is the way it is suppose to be, I believe. Some people have that door shut and will not open again. If you miss the datapad in there, you will then either miss it, or be at the mercy of the devs to come up with a patch.
