Upgrading weapons issue?

I can't figure out what I'm missing. I have the required ferrite, and I have weapon mods, but my weapons are showing level 3 as locked and it says "Use ferrite to unlock." I have well over the 500 required, but there is no option to unlock it.

Is there something I need to do? A quest, or talk to a person before I can unlock level 3?

I have a similar issue with the "projects" it says "Tier 1 unlocked" on the bottom of the screen, but I can't choose any of the perks. All of the online FAQs I've seen just say you need ferrite to unlock levels, but I have that, so it isn't helping.

Anyone know what I'm missing here?

For weapons, you need to select the weapon, press [Enter] (by default) and that should open the menu where you can spend the Ferrite. Just navigate with WASD to where it says Level 3 and Hold [F} (by default).

For the Projects just go to projects tab, select whoever you want, press [Enter] and that should let you spend the Project Points.

There's no quest involved for weapon levels and the projects SHOULD be available after completing the first mission for the relevant NPC. Hope it helps!

Thanks. I believe I am doing EXACTLY that, and I raised my weapons to level 2 that way, but the "press F" option never shows up. Very frustrating.

I'm having the same issue. Upgraded to level 2 but unable to progress to 3.

Guys, make sure you used WASD to navigate the menus. For some reason the mouse doesn't work well in the menus.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, thanks man. That was EXACTLY it. Clicking on level 3 doesn't do anything, but using the WASD keys allowed me to select level 3. Thank you very much.

I have the same problem, nearly 40,000 ferlite & 43 weapons core, when I go to the weapons menu & try to unlock level 3 it say to spend ferlite but below where it usually says hold F all I have is a red coloured bar without any writing on it. Have tried using WASD & its the same, is this a bug ?
