RAGE 2 Pre-order and Deluxe Edition: Finding Your Items

Hey all,

We've seen some questions about how to find your pre-order and deluxe edition items in RAGE 2, so we wanted to help clarify.

The RAGE 2 deluxe edition and/or pre-order content can be found in the following places:

• Cult of the Death God will unlock shortly after completing Blackout and leaving the area.
  The Settler Pistol and Nicholas Raine’s armor are obtained during the Cult of the Death God mission.
  
• The BFG-9000 is obtained once leaving Vineland after The Ranger, and driving towards the fork in the road to the right. A meteor containing the BFG-9000 will crash and the player can pick it up.
  
• The Monster Truck skin and Battle Standard will be available in the Garage menu once it is unlocked at the end of The Ranger.
  
• The cheats and progress booster will be available in the cheats menu (under settings).
  
• Rise of the Ghosts expansion – as this is an entitlement to the first DLC, this will not be immediately available in game.
  
• Note that if on Steam, you will need to link your Bethesda.net account to your first party account on Steam in order to obtain deluxe or pre-order content.)

For pre-order items, you will need to redeem the code that came with your purchase (either on receipt or sent through email). If purchased from GAME, refer to your order email and click the "My Downloads" button at the top to confirm your pre-order bonuses.

Same issue, linked account and no deluxe content...support ticket with Bethesda is open.

no content and my account is linked... spent almost 1.9 hours trying to resolve.

In short: refunded the game and will never buy a game from bethesda ever again.

To Bethesda:

Thanks for your policies, from now on, i will save my money.

And it is true, who pirates the game is playing the game but the client who buys has to deal with these anti piracy or MT who only damaged the consumer, like me that never pirated a game.
So again, you can delete my account because you have lost a client. Never again. Bye "EA/Bethesda"

Bethesda got back to me after filling a support ticket. They granted the deluxe content to my account after showing proof of purchase. It took a little over a day to get fixed; but it was pretty easy to do, although this situation shouldn't be happening to begin with.

My support ticket was answered and the deluxe content was granted. Took about a day. Don't know if it helps but in my support ticket I included screenshots of my linked account from inside the Rage 2 game and my Steam purchase.

I didn't reccive the iteams even when i linked my account. So i sent them a ticket and they fixed it in like 5 minutes! Thanks Bethesda.

So ... the deluxe edition content isn't unlocked in my game?
I started the game twice already and finished the tutorial section, at no point did a red meteor come down and no cheats are available apart from the voice packs...
Will I even have access to new DLC ?
If I look in the Rage 2 store I can see that in the doom pack the rocket launcher and shotgun skins are checked so I own those, but under the deluxe edition nothing is checked there so... does the bethesda side not think I own the DLC and as such don't give me the content?

Sheer stupidity. Not only do they look like fools, but they will have lost many potential buyers of
the DLC. It hurts their own bottom line too.

I would have bought the DLC for sure if it was sold in the normal trouble free way. But there is no chance of purchasing it with such an idiotic system.

Judging by many posts here and other threads/forms a lot of folks are doing the same.
It really is stupidity by Bethesda. They have also trashed their companies reputation
with this tricky, nonsensical sales method.

You need to contact support and create a ticket to them.

Exactly. But IMO after paying for DLC that should be the end of it, download and play.
This contact support, prove purchase blah blah is just very bad customer unfriendly way of doing things. Especially if like me it's on Steam. Have to open a Beth account according to other posts.
For me that means I'll never get the DLC.

It's not only that, I have read this thread when I discovered that I don't have any Deluxe Edition bonuses. So, I've created a ticket right away to Bethesda support. Guess what? They replied me with the default template about finding my Deluxe Edition items, while I have none and I have attached the screenshot with the Steam purchase receipt. And I got this reply after ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 10 hours of waiting. This is ridiculous. They haven't even read what I said, just thrown a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ template and that's all. I can't complain about game itself, because I have barely played it yet. However, I definitely shouldn't be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around in attempt to get what I have paid for. Their level of support is below any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ imaginable boundaries.
