whats the best way to take these down? once the health hits half way I can't dodge the ring attack

Jump over the ring attack. Keep shooting the center/blue part. Use Rage "V" when available, use cover where available. They aren't so tough that way

They are intimidating and sometimes they catch you off-guard. If there are lasers from above, they don´t have that big AoE and stay in the center between "grid". As Solarstrike said, good thing is to play "Peekaboo" from behind cover.

the behind cover works on the first half of the health but the ring attack doesn't, it goes through it no matter what I am behind, and its very difficult to time the jump over it :/

I even tried to get on top the building thinking it be a ground level ring attack only, didn't work

I will just wait, probably an upgrade for it at a later point in game to make them easier

Don't hug the cover, stay far enough away or angle yourself so you can see the waves coming well in advance. With some turrets you can actually get even lower than they are and avoid the ring attack all together. The lowest it will go it seems is at the base of the turret.

I've only come across 1 so far, but shooting it with the car til it popped seemed to work well enough.

I was a bit confused though, because whatsername came over the radio saying to loot advanced tech or something but I didn't find anything.

Think back to Doom 2016 boss fight where you had to crouch under and/or jump over the rings of death.

Just spring towards the ring and jump, upgrade your jumping skills, you can get double jump and you can even float for a few seconds.

Oh good to know... I was running around the area for 10 minutes thinking I missed something.

I killed it with the phoenix.

Line it up around a corner, poke it out so the machine gun locks on, fire away. when you see it charge, reverse into cover and wait. the 'ring' doesn't really do much if anything to cars.

Much quicker than shooting it with an assault rifle (rip me :) )

lol dang I was looking for this thread to update it and was about to post this, Yep vehicles will bypass the ring damage thats how I did it too.

lol I bought doom 2016 but never actually played it yet so any reference to it in this game I wouldn't know about
