Settings.ini tweaks?

Has anyone tried to mess around with the ini file already? it's located at C:\Users\your user name\Saved Games\id Software\Rage 2.

Would be great if we could increase render distance of shadows and other things clearly not shown inside the graphics menu.

I would also like a guide to tweaking this file, the way some effects and lights just pop-in to view a few feet oif the player is an oversight bordering on lazy on the part of the studio - but when the studio is avalanche who left load of fixable bugs in MadMax what hope do we have of getting them fixed in this game.

Yep.. was definitely a poor decision to fall for the hype they created.. it feels, looks and plays like an avalanche game. And they still didn't bother fixing the dreadful deadzone and/or negative/positive acceleration when panning the camera.

I doubt ID had anything to do besides giving avalanche the files from Rage1.. i mean there's even a shotgun tutorial you cannot skip.. everything feels clunky and unresponsive.

Didn't know what folks were talking about in reference to Mad Max.. Until I picked it up for $5 on sale.. and yeah, looks EXACTLY like ID had given up on the Rage series and just handed them off whatever Rage crap they had lol....

For $5 I haven't played much of Mad Max, and it isn't an FPS or super fast paced shooter.. but it seems fun. I like the car smashing/derby style stuff.. Wasn't that how it was in Rage 1?

Rage 2 is a decent game, but 100% looks like Mad Max.. which reminds me of the Batman WB games with the ground and pound/parry attacks.

ID didn't even use their own engine, I've got a feeling the could care less about the Rage series from here on out and are merely focusing on Doom Eternal.

No doubt Mad Max was a fun title. I have it on both Xboner and PC. Well crafted good time.
