You can find them at a location in the direction they flew off in.
The best way to approach the drones is when you hear the whirring sound look around slowly. As long as you don't look directly at them they won't react. So you can see them on the edge of the screen without a problem. Move into the best position to shoot them dead on and use the rocket launcher for a one hit kill.
Nice! Was just wondering this myself as I finally killed one.
I couldn't even write down or make a mental note of the location the ones that flew off went to, because at that point where I saw a black thing flying off in the sky I had no idea it was actually interactable or of importance.
I purchased that ability and still miss a bunch of them lmao.
Where does this marker for the purchased ability appear and what does it look like? It's not the same signal icon for chests and data pads, is it?
Yes it is, but you can also hear the hum of the spy drone, it's quite distinctive...
No because you can kill them and it opens a separate log entry for each one, plus there is an achievement for downing 30 of the buggers...
^this
not to mention, using the radar skill to track Spy Drones doesn't really help too much, as it uses the same frequency that the perks for tracking Storage Containers, Data Pads, and Feltrite Crystals also uses.
