Nothing to do with stability, it's to do with something preventing the executable from starting.
Seems like it might be windows 7 problem - because i've not seen a single person on windows 7 who has this game working.
Game just does not work on win 7 it seems.
lowering the reolution from 1920x1080 to 1600x900 worked for me, but the game still crashes randomly, but never in the menus anymore
One word:
Vulkan
Really unfortunate.
Firstly Vulkan is whats called an "API" - (Application Programming Interface).
The guy below will explain to you what an API is very quickly :D
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6STSHbdXQWI
Vulkan API runtimes come with your nvidia driver :)
Just make sure you have it in your installed programs list after the driver installation completes.
But what I meant was that the Rage 2 game use's the Vulkan API.
And it's because it's using this API is why lots of people can't run the game, that's all I meant :)
And yesterday it works now. Maybe is because of the patch ?
Anyway thank you bethesda to repair Avalanch errors...
2 days for Rage 2.
I couldn't play just cause 4 for 2 month after release for the same problem
I originally had the newest NVIDIA driver build, but that caused other issues in the game, including graphical artifacts and whitescreening with redlines when navigating through the menu. My PC manufacturer had me install the "creator" drivers, instead of the standard drivers. However, the issue with the game locking out on me occurred with the latest Nvidia release drivers and now, these "creater" drivers. Fortunately, any auto saves seemingly are unaffected if this transpires.
I am not sure if anyone else is also experiencing this issue, or not. In case the developers are reading this thread, here is my build: I am running dual 1080m GTX in SLI with 16gb of DDR4 2400 memory with a n i7-7700 CPU @ 4.20ghz, no overclocking, Windows 10x64-bit on an OriginPC, in case you need the computer build. Not exactly game breaking, but the only way to close out the game to reset it once this happens is to close out the task using Task Manager and then restart the game. Hopefully, this is something that can be patched at some point.
Thanks, guys! Really enjoying the game, great work!
My game is running smoothly until I have to get into the menu. Map, weapons ... and crashes. please help
I can't find it on my system after updating my driver, it could be why it won't start on my computer but the vulkan wiki says it is compatible with my card and everything but it doesn't appear on my computer after the driver update.
