How are perks unlocked?
Has anyone figured it out yet?

You do various tasks which let you claim perk points that you can unlock within the starting room. On the left side panel before the door you can look at all the available requirements and unlock from there.

There's a terminal on the left wall in the bedrooms that shows you your overall statistics, perks and the milestone requirements needed to unlock perk points.
The game will inform you of any milestones you've achieved at the end of the mission.
Return to the terminal in your room and click on the completed milestones to claim your points.
Perks don't take effect until you equip them at the upgrade terminal.

The way it's done, which I had to figure out because nobody has info on this, is that you purchase however many perks that there are arrows on the right side of each column. Example, the first column of perks has three arrows facing right towards the next column, you have to purchase three perks in the first column to advance to the next column, then you are able to buy perks from the next column and it's the same for the next advancing columns after that, so if there are four arrows, then you have to buy 4 perks to unlock the next advancing column. Kind of weird but that is how you unlock the next level of perks. It also auto equips the next perk because it's better than the last. You change your equipped perks in the "upgrade gear" menu where the star is located which is next to your main weapon on the right. To be able to do any of this is by starting on the computer in your bedroom where you start the game which is located on the wall. Hopefully this helps people searching for this, because I was searching for this and couldn't find anything.

Thanks, Fart Ass. (There's a statement I never thought I would type!)
That really helped. There are several, nay, MANY interfaces like that which are REALLY confusing in this game. Surprised playtesting did not reveal how many things in this game lack any explanation at all.

Yes, a surprising amount of game mechanics are not explained or at least that was my experience when i was a new player 2 years ago. Now i can say that once you learn the mechanics you do not look back. Its just an initial hurdle all players have to go through.
