Also, yes please. Sounds like a good idea.
A very minor detail is that this (in theory) should also allow you to see the Wave Cooker's "inspect" animation without needing to unequip the T4 upgrades.
You could bind it to Q or a mouse thumb button.
I feel like that would work well for most people (personally I have grenades on the thumb button so I would probably put it on Q).
this feature is long, long overdue at this point. it's baffling to me that GSG would introduce so many new overclocks with alternate firing modes when it's been known for years that the lack of a dedicated altfire key makes these kinds of builds extremely awkward to use
I swear I typed it correctly, my phone's autocorrect just hates me.
Most important part of the suggestion lol
By default it would also be bound to R, so the new system initially functions exactly the same as the current system and there are no conflicts except the existing ones.
Then, anyone who wants more control could just rebind the alt fire from R to whatever button is more convenient or unused. For example, I would personally rebind it to an unused mouse button on my gaming mouse.
Please that would be such a huge improvement
Controller parity has never made sense to me as an reason not to in this game
