Aim Assist Is Bad 95% Of the Time Anyway, Which Is Obviously Why You Want To Know
How To Turn It Off- I Don't Know Why Consoles Want To Have It Active For Every Game and You Have To Always Search To Turn It Off- It Would Be Nice If It Was Always Off Instead and Players Could Search and Turn It On If Needed
That Sucks If the DRG Devs Set Things Up Like That For Consoles and/or Controllers-
My Guess Would Be It's an Inherent Console/Controller 'Automatically On' Function- Whatever the Reason, There Should Be Some Option To Disable It, You Just Might
Have To Scroll Through Every Damn Menu and Setting, DRG, Console, AND Controller Options, To Find It
Consoles have it active for some reasons
1 would be not a large majority of the base can aim comfortably without it
and another could be that some devs actually dont know and are just going on some consensus somewhere. And maybe it could be the game is too crazy for it not to have it.
Ultrakill comes to mind, and in that game I play with its own aim assist thats preferably nonintrustive, just a zone on the screen where autoaim is enabled.
Console players are usually shafted in the control department, only at the mercy of the devs for anything that could make the experience enjoyable. Because the base consoles dont have tools to help with that; deadzones and responsecurve settings.
For me as a guy that plays controller on pc mainly, I have steaminput or rewasd to fix whatever game I play that happens to have a subpar deadzone map. Fixing stickyaim is out of my scope with the tools I have though.
Ill just have to pray to GhostShip that they add the option
I have faith they will, this company is usually pretty dope.
I don't think it's aim assist in the manner you might think, where it "snaps" to targets that are close, but rather it reduces the sensitivity when you are over a target.
This, its sticky aim. Its kinda aggrevating seeing games umbrella that into "aim assist".
