I still think the sheer awesomeness of removing the fog justifies an in game option for people who don't play with mods.
The darkness seen in some videos showcasing pre-alpha versions of DRG felt really nice.
It's fantastic. It does give it a bit of a different feel to play, and it just showcases the game's look better (in my opinion).
Probably made the atmosphere more eerie, especially if playing alone.
This video with timestamp is what I was referring to: https://youtu.be/YE8FD74pyBQ?feature=shared&t=218
Definitely recommend the channel if you enjoy watching past iterations of the game. :)
