Error Cubes and Shrubs

I think it's about time to have something for error cubes. I have a lot of them and would like to put them to use. Insert them into something for a big boss fight. Mother Dread?!

The same goes for the different shrubs you collect. Only barley bulbs seem to be the main use for perk beers, so there should be more things for the rest e.g. yeast cones etc.

Other beer ingredients are never going to be made useful. The devs said they want them to be exclusively for the joke beers so nobody ever has to feel like they're wasting them. Or did I just imagine that? Either way, they probably think that.
I don't think they've said anything about cubes, but making them useful could cause some problems. It'd suck if you wanted something that you needed cubes for since there's no way to grind them. If you need minerals of another type you just play the biome with them and get them, but cubes are entirely luck. You can play for a week and find 0 of them. Right now it doesn't matter, but if they were useful it'd be really frustrating.
Also there's the possibility of extremely bitter recriminations if a team fails a mission after finding a cube. Or even worse, hosts kicking randoms so they can invite their friends after finding one. Maybe I'm just a negative person and it wouldn't turn out so bad, but maybe it would.

There are issues that could arise if this addition was to happen, though, since Error Cubes are something heavily dependant on Rng.

One dwarf could find 3 while playing for a couple of days, where others may find none after playing for a month, say.

Some miners could even kick their fellow team members after finding one, just to invite friends to profit off the rare find.

There are definitely reasons as to why Cubes haven't been given an extra purpose so far, and I can totally see one point being the fact that it's somewhat hard to properly balance that, considering both their rarity and the lack of a sure way to obtain them ( unlike matrix cores, for example ).
