Resonance Crystal Bugs if Exposed by Drop Pod

Just had 4 dwarves try for 8 minutes to call a scanner on a crystal that had already been exposed to no avail. It's shed the dirt around it like if it was dug up normally but no amount of burying it or digging it would let us call the scanner down.
Stuck at 4/5 scans we committed honorable dwarf tossing down the drop pod chute and lost.
