Protogen Mod Neon Lights Glow diff
I'm playing with the Protogen armour cosmetic mod. My friend joins up and downloads the mod to enter.
The thing that I noticed when we checked each other's screens however, is that on their's, the Neon spots on the Protogen skins glow, yet on my screen, they do not.

I've tried every in-game graphics settings to see what could be responsible, to no result.

Does anyone know why this happens? It causes me to feel slightly upset that I can't experience the pretty glow.

I don't know if it's the same for the mod, but in the vanilla game, glowy bits on armor only glow with certain paint jobs.

A lot of helmets for example, have glowy eyes with the monochromatic paint job, but not the other paint jobs.

Does that make it so that the person with the paintjob can see other people wearing the appropriate armour as glowy?
The armours themselves come with their own default paintjobs to wear too so I have some doubts about that.

you sure you tried every setting? I imagine it might be a graphical setting thing if it's not lighting up
could also try reinstalling the mod if you haven't already

Yeah, I've tried reinstalling the mod, matching my friends settings, Reinstalling the game from the ground up without a save, (I backed up my save in other files) to surprisingly no avail.

To pile on the confusion some more, the mod page itself doesn't show that any of the Neon parts glow either! We also have the same few mods active so it's a real mind boggler.

Have you tried switching between DirectX 11 and 12? Sometimes Dx12 causes parts that shouldn't glow, to glow.
Could also try updating graphics drivers.

Thanks Johnno for trying to help as well!
Sadly DirectX 11, 12, and starting the game normal does not show a difference.
And my graphics card drivers were checked using Device manager and they're up to date

I decided to keep seeking out something that could explain this little lighting difference and I believe that since my friend's CPU is an AMD Ryzen brand, the odds are that its in-game lighting software is responsible for creating a glow from the normally dim lights on the Protogen outfit.
I just run an intel i7-13700KF CPU and have no idea if I can replicate the effects through another software or whatnot.
Can anyone else confirm this for sure?
