[Solved] My game just crashed when meteor

[King ECHatron II]

I just started an escort mission, and in the first 5 minutes a Lithophage Meteorite fell, just like dozens of missions I did before, but now my game completely crashed. It didn't even close itself and I had to task manager it. I should mention that I was at the title screen with patch notes for awhile finishing something in the background. My game just crashed again...but this time, not while a meteor was falling, now it was further along in the mission just randomly. Earlier today I was playing with a friend and everything was fine! what is going on? Gonna quit for today because this game keeps crashing on me which it never did in the 1 year I have this game
