Regular lag spikes and disconnection issues in multiplayer lobbies
I disconnect or experience lag spikes during multiplayer games, regardless of the distance the host is. This started happening sometime during S2. Tried some online searches with no luck in the past. I've just come back from a couple months break because of this issue to try out S3 and holiday missions, but come to find this issue hasn't resolved itself. I still experience this while limiting myself to short-distance servers. I've tried the steps in the network and connectivity part of one of the sticky threads (disabling ipv6 and resetting some network stuff via cmd prompt,) as well as added drg and steam to my windows defender antivirus exception folder. No other antivirus besides Defender. I've tried booting DRG exclusively through dr11 and dr12, but still randomly d/c from games. Today I tried Safe Mode and still have these issues.
Have yet to notice similar major lag/disconnect issues on other online multiplayer Steam games as well as other online games on this pc.
I try to have everything else I can off or closed while DRG is running. At most I have a troubleshooting browser tab open, Discord, and a music app open at the same time.
I reinstalled DRG today through Steam>Library>DRG>Manage>Uninstall, but not sure if I did it right because my mods were already loaded and ready to go when I checked my Modding folder after the reinstall?
No crashes for a crash report, just connectivity issues.
Have the PC and Steam section ports forwarded from portforward dot com/deep-rock-galactic/

PC Specs: I9-9900k, 2080, Windows 10, 32gb ram. Ethernet internet connection. 150-250mbps. No VPN while playing. Graphics maxed, shadows on High. FPS is fairly constant at @100fps
Let me know what else I can supply to help identify the issue(s). Thanks for stopping by and Happy New Year!

What happens when you host games?

While I'm not discounting that you may have connectivity issues, each season has brought more new players who have stability issues of their own, thus you may well lose connection when connecting to a host.

I don't claim that that's the only issue, nor that there are no issues, but I'd recommend that you try hosting games yourself to see if you can, and if others can stay connected to you.

It could just be a bunch of WiFi hots or your ISP itself.

But there is a pinned thread about disconnects you should put your info there and answer the devs questions.

More responses mean the devs may find something. Still no correlation yet.

My only thing I could suggest is checking:
- Make sure you are not running through a double NAT.
- Check QoS settings at your router.
- Run a consistent ping (with CMD) to 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 in the background and when you disconnect check to see if your internet itself dropped out or you are getting moments of crazy high jitter. If all packets are making it out and in its a good chance it is just the host.
- Disable and uninstall all mods.

I have the exact same problems as you OP. Not running with mods and using tp cable though.

I also encountered this problem recently. I tried all the same methods. Nothing works.

It was fine until the Christmas event was removed, then the lags started happening.

I have the same problem. Three weeks ago everything was fine, but now I can not play. The connection is lost every 5-10 minutes. The Internet is working fine. I can stream and chat on Discord. Nothing is interrupted during this time, except the game.

I can't speak for anyone else, but it appears as if the latest hotfix patch also took care of the lag issues I was having.

since the "rockpox" the lag and disconnects are almost each mission, regardless who I play with or if I host the game, problem is ANY other coop that i play doesn't have this issue
