DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG error
This game is terribly unstable. I really like the game but I am seriously considering refunding because of all the crashes. It started with the D3D device lost hung crash. I read that lowering the fps and underclocking the gpu solved this. But now I get this error "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG". I don't know how to fix this one. Are these errors activelly being worked on? I get the feeling that the conclusion mostly is "its your hardware fix it yourself". We shouldn't need to go through all this trouble just to play the game we paid for. I hope someone knows an easy fix for this error.
Yes I am quite frustrated sorry :)

Thanks in advance

Update graphics drivers.

Updated DirectX (use Dx11 when starting the game).

Check your RAM.

Oh and you absolutely should have to do troubleshoot once in a while, it's part of owning a computer. If you can't deal with it pay someone else to do it for you.

I have the same crash occurring at the launch screen logo.
Always in DX12 and if I switch to DX11 there are just weird graphics bugs.
I tried various driver versions, but nothing has worked so far.

This is a driver issue on your end. GSG can't fix these issues as they have no control over them.

I'm having the exact same issue, and have tried pretty much everything. I don't think it's an issue on your end.

Considering that OP hasn't bothered posting any more (not even their specs) and has been playing the game, I suspect they sorted it out.

Hi sorry for the late response.

I have tried many things to fix this problem.
I am using windows 10 and my videocard is an 1080 ti.
Considering this is an gpu issue I don't thing more specs are relevant.

This link contains some things I tried, they didn't work for me but maybe they do for you.
https://www.partitionwizard.com/clone-disk/dxgi-error-device-removed.html

In the end I installed msi afterburner and limited my gpu to 90% with the "power limit" setting.
I haven't had a crash since.
I also limited my fps to 120 as was suggested by the defs somewhere. Not sure if that fixes anything, at least it takes some of the gpu load off I presume.
I guess it was my gpu getting to hot after all. Even though I have not seen my gpu go passed 75 degrees ever which was confusing for me.

Thanks to the people that wanted to help. After spending hours fixing a different crash I was just tired of the usual advise like updating drivers and reinstalling stuff which I already did and never fixed anything. But that is obviously something I should have said in my post.

Hope someone finds this useful. Have a great day!
