Hacking Pod Stuck Inside Tower
I was doing a mission that involved using hacking pods. I called down the hacking pod and it was far enough away that my team and I thought to dig under it to get it closer to the big tower that it was supposed to connect to. We dug down and the hacking pod got stuck inside the tower.
Because it was "in" the tower (it was easily visible, but evidently the center of it was occluded by the tower's geometry, breaking line of sight), it refused connections to any of the little connection sphere we had surrounding it.
So either the pod should be unmoveable, should not spawn above existing structures, or should check for line of sight starting not from its center, but from the corners of its geometry (i.e. have 4 line of sight checks instead of 1).

Did you try to use C4 if you had any? The Pod was not stuck in the "Tower" but in a piece of rock, soil etc hiden in the Tower. Blow it all up and the hacking Pod should fall out.

That worked for me, when the Pod came down in one of the near by machine events.

we, in fact, dug out the entire area underneath of the tower and spammed our grenades next to the pod and it was still unable to make connections and did not move anywhere. it was right next to the large pillar of the tower, bordering it, as far center as anything can get to the tower, basically. we didn't have any C4 as it was 3 guys, two gunners and an engineer on an annihilation mission, so i didn't get to test that.
it's something to try if it happens again, but it would be better just to implement a hotfix for it and whatever other minor bugs prevent players from completing missions.

Zeitseele is correct here, you need to dig everything around the tower, this causes the dirt inside it to be destroyed, causing the hacking pod to fall out.

It takes time but a driller should be able to do it easily!

Hope this helps:D
