As I mentioned, checked for overclocking, checked for "fresh restart", updated drivers, and this happened even 3 months apart.
It doesn't overload all my CPU's, but it overloads some of them. Tried without vsync, even though that is GPU based things.
Checked if there were other processes spiking, but there weren't.
I have no idea if that will actually help with your crashes, but it might at least eliminate one possible cause.
It was never on now that I checked, never used the feature. At least now I know that isn't the issue. I even tried to go into its settings, set the recordings down to 30fps, 360p, last 15sec and lowest bitrate...
I went back to Nvidia control panel, found the game option and set stuff back to "use default / global settings". I seem to have tried to set some Vsync to fast and some other stuff.
I also made sure to go into processes, find the Nvidia "Shadowplay" and end the process. I tried the same with Nvidia share, but it only popped up. No way to shut down the overlay though. Thanks for the hint on the video encode Waste_of_skin
If so, I have to wonder what changed in the middle (when it stopped crashing, and then when it started again).
Is it crashing immediately? If not, does it run for a while and just crash occasionally, seemingly at random; or is it more often?
Without more to go on, there's always the possibility of some failing or overheating component (CPU, GPU, PSU, etc.). Some monitoring software that kept a log of things like the CPU and GPU usage and temp's might be useful, so that you can see what's happening while the game is running.
I was just grasping at straws with the overheating possibility, since there's really nothing to go on. If the game stopped crashing for a while (as indicated by one of your earlier posts), then I still have to wonder what was different at that point.
GSG just released a new update. I would try the game again, just to see if anything has changed.
If the game is still crashing, some system info might help (CPU, GPU, RAM, etc.). Also, have you checked the pinned "[READ ME] Common Issues ..." topic? The first post has suggestions for various problems.
