A little impressive honestly, I'm just guessing but it looks like they figured out how to make solo mode able to have players join in the game. Or how to manually spawn in a Bosco drone ingame.
I'm guessing they are using a known (not going to mention) UE4 cheating api
which would make the latter pretty likely. Still impressive though. vbasic is some tough ♥♥♥♥.
edit: or it's a bug*. I mean I don't know for sure obviously. It just seems very likely to me.
This happened to me, it's a bug. Go to the mission control computer, select a quickplay mission and if it doesnt work it will ask you if you want to start you're own game, you press yes which starts an empty lobby, but you can still select a mission, so you select solo, and bam, you're in a solo game but people can still join because even though you selected solo, you never disbanded the team, so people can join you still. At least this is what happened to me.
