I can't get my mic to work ingame
I can hear others when they talk and my mic is definitely working on the computer because I have tested it using the voice recorder, but it doesn't work when I try to talk ingame.

I've checked if I muted myself. In options I definitely have voice chat checked as on, I have tried both push to talk and hands free, and I did not change the controls from default so its still Z.

What can I do?

Edit: problem resolved. See literally post #2. Thanks for replies anyway lol.

The game uses your default recording device as mic in game. Make sure your mic is set as default device in the Windows recording settings.

Thanks, it wasn't that. Figured out the issue. Found that inside the sound settings my "recording" volume was at 100 but my "playback" volume was at 0. Changed playback volume to 100 as well and now it is workign.

You have to git gud first and then you can use your mic.

OMG Maroliver stop trolling! DRG community is so toxic! I'm gonna tell Steam to watch you closely.

Although the game has an inbuilt voice chat mechanic, do also note, that the developers have also arranged a Discord channel. Take a moment to think about that...

Why would THEY include Discord if their game has voice chat included. Like most games that have voice chat included, that voice chat is buggy as hell and doesn't work for everyone.

Use the Discord, its better supported

The voice chat works fine. The game has a Discord to serve as a live chat community.

Now admit that you're just one of the elves that works for Discord.

Also, check your privacy protection options and make sure desktop apps are permitted to access the microphone.

Fixed my audio problem for Windows Ten, went to Settings,Gaming, and Captures, then I to Recorded audio, then I clicked on turn my mic on default when I record.

it can be tricky to find in windows, since there is several options, but i am 99% sure that it is because of your sound settings

Here's a common solution to mic problems:

Head to Windows Sound Settings, select Sound Control Panel, right-click your preferred output device, and select Set as Default Communication Device.
