Start > Windows Search ( dxdiag ) > Wait for dxdiag to complete it's scan, indicated by the green bar in the lower left portion of the dxdiag window. > Once the scan is complete, click Save All Information... > Save the text file it generates to your desktop. Open it in Notepad, copy everything > Then go to pastebin and paste what you copied from your notepad > share the link here.
Without the system info no troubleshooting can be performed. I am sorry.
Delete all other Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables.
Install the latest one for the year your application is asking for.
You can find them here.

Good Luck.
My brother had the same issue and his solution was to upgrade to Windows 10.
You should not be using Windows 7.
Windows 7 is end of life.
You should not be using a Windows 7 computer while it's connected to the internet.

Consider installing Ubuntu , Pop!_OS, or some other Linux distribution if you aren't going to buy a Windows 10 License and upgrade to Windows 10.

---
NOTE: To buy an official Windows 10 license, I highly recommend getting a retail copy. You can find these easily inside stores like Best Buy, Wal-Mart, etc.
Retail copies provide a special license that allows you to transfer your Windows 10 license to different computers while staying 100% legal.
In comparison, OEM license do not have this ability. If you install it on a specific machine, that is the machine it needs to stay on to stay legal.
Do not use hacked versions of any operating system. Either buy your OS or use linux.
Do not buy online keys being sold for like $5-20. These are keys from other regions and aren't legal for you to use if you use them outside their home region.
Sounds like both of you are doing something totally wrong with your PCs.
Provide DXdiags from both of your computers so we can take a look and see what might be going on.
When you say you tired that and it didn't work...
What exactly did you do and try?
How did you do it?
Also, post a dxdiag using a service like pastebin dot com so we can get a better idea what is going on with your computer.
Windows search > dxdiag > wait for it to complete it's scan > Save all information > Save it to your desktop > Look for the text / notepad file labeled dxdiag and copy the contents > visit the website pastebin dot com and paste the contents of your dxdiag into the pastebin site. > Copy the URL and post the URL here so we can see what is going on with your PC.
Without this information it will be near impossible to figure out what might be wrong causing your issue.
Good Luck.

So, just to be clear, you did the following....
Start > Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall a Program
Search the entire list.
Locate all entries labeled as Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.
Uninstall each one.
Restart the PC.
Then download and install the following items...
Visual Studio 2015,2017, and 2019 64 bit
https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe
Restart the PC.
... And it still didn't work? What error are you getting? What does it say? What does it look like, etc.
Here's to hoping you reply with all the details so we can try to help you.
Good Luck.
That should address the issue.
Yes, that's what I did. Can't share what I was seeing because I returned the game for a refund but essentially if I tried to play the game it would tell me I would need to install Visual Studio whatever then alternate between installing and uninstalling it. Same issue a lot of other people have been having, based on these forums.
I am sorry but, I doubt it. If you did follow my instructions properly you wouldn't be having the issues you are talking about.
Would you be willing to join me on a discord server?
If so please add me on Steam and message me. We can go through your system together and I can help guide you through the process quickly and efficiently.
Let me know if this is something you are interested in.
It's a shame you would return this game. It's one of the best games on the market today and it's an extremely consumer friendly game. No microtransactions. Co-op. Community provided Discord. Friendly devs that actually talk to the players, etc.
Deep Rock Galactic is a fantastic game.
The issue you, and others, have described is usually caused by two conflicting C++ redistributables being installed.
This is why I had said you need to remove all of the C++ redistributables currently installed, restart the PC, install the latest one via the link I had provided, restart the PC again, and afterwards you shouldn't have any issues with any of the applications.
I am sure there are quite a few people who have this very easy to fix problem. It usually happens when people install an older game from say a DVD which installs an older C++ redistributable on top of a later version of the same redistributable and this causes a conflict. This isn't always how the older C++ redistributable can be installed which causes the conflict but, it is the most common way it is installed.
Again, this issue is very easily fixed and has nothing to do with the game developers or their game and everything to do with the user and the current system they are trying to use to play the game.
Let me know if you are interested in sitting in a Discord with me for a few minutes while we double check everything on your PC to ensure there aren't any issues that need to be addressed.
Just followed your guide and worked perfectly.
ty so much!
Anytime. Enjoy playing Deep Rock Galactic. It is one of the greatest games of all time. Have fun! :D
Any time.
