We Rock
my bad for forgetting the product was a pint i guess? 🤣
and no i wasn't implying 3d printed mugs would be drink safe, display only
if you're referring to people in this thread specifically, they're stating it's a "100$ mug" because they (including me) live outside the US, and it does cost over a hundred bucks of our currency to get one... the US isn't the only place on earth to use "dollars" fyi
literally the first dude in the thread to mention the "close to $100" thing was an aussie lol
plastic
PLASTIC
High quality plastic is literally a thing, "Plastic", like Wood and Metal, isnt a singular universal material. Laughing at a thing for existing because you dont think it exists is wild.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nylon_6 The specific plastic. Its the stuff that a lot of kitchen utensils are made of for heat resistance.
Want something serious mugs then grab the game of throne or skyrim mugs in amazon, I've seen a couple there.
:DDDDD
So... you think all plastic is the same quality and can withstand the same temperatures lol?
Sorry to break it to you but most people playing video games are not teenagers, they're adults.
If you pour boiling water directly into your mug to make tea or coffee, you're a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ animal. Use a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kettle.
Also they arent talking about the literal scientific definition of the boiling point of water. People class coffee at 60 degrees Celsius as "boiling" too because it will scald you. It's called colloquialism.
My ceramic mug can withstand boiling water straight from my electric kettle and has been doing so for almost a decade now - if a mug advertises itself as heat-resistant (especially if it's made of plastic of all things) without specifying how heat-resistant, then I am going to question how valid that statement is... Not that it matters in the end, I'm not gonna drink from a plastic cup, and I don't care how fancy that plastic is lmao
Anyways if you have a problem with how I pour my drinks you can go buy me a proper kettle and some tea bags for kettles so I can make my tea there instead :)
That proper kettle would be an even less sturdy ceramic, and still surviving the kettle boil water.
It just makes your point better.
