Drg discord server
Can these mods unban me from the dizzy server, like seriously, I send a youtube vid, then a message and got instantly ip banned for no frikin reason

Being a former Mod and an Admin for a major celebrity FC page, a pinned post at the top would def. help people if they find themselves in this situation. That way, arguments don't start here, and they can take it up with whomever would be the point of contact in a Discord dispute. Is the "1Tater" person still the one to reach out to? I know there's a ton of pinned posts, but this would help the Mods here from being overwhelmed with Discord complaints.

Mods are doing a great job on the discord.
There's like half a million people on the server, if you can't follow some basic rules or if you start spamming, you deserve the ban.
No reason for a mod to waste 15 minutes of his time when you couldn't spare a single one of yours to read the rules.

They cant complain if they dont read them.

Most Discords have a rules page that must be read before they can use it. I know of one, Darkness Falls which has a keyword buried in the rules that you have to manually enter at the end to be allowed access.

Problem is : would people read those ?

Like Johnno said, prolly as much as they read the Discord rules, but should the issue ever arise, we could refer them to the pinned post (or post the link in response). After that, it's up to them. :)

You mean... like the Discord rules to begin with?

The DRG Discord has a welcome page where you have to go past the rules to get to picking a role, before you can chat (except in two channels which have borked permissions, and there we just point people to the welcome channel).

Let's not talk about the perms, because they're a mess that needs fixing.

We can't do ♥♥♥♥ about it as mods though. Has to be an admin doing it, which means someone from GSG either taking time on their work schedule or private time off to take care of it. Not ideal and it's not a "big deal" so it gets pushed back to a later date constantly.

It kinda sucks not being able to join the server on other acc

Whats the point? Without IP ban you simply make a new account.
