it does work on the twins armor however
Shoot it and see if its armor breaks.
Armor breaking is a visual effect. You can see that a praetorian's armor breaks, and that an oppressor's or dreadnaught's doesn't.
Miners Manual>Bestiary for enemy details
The Miners Manual lists Dreadnought's armor as Heavy, yes; but to reiterate, it seems that armor in name only and not vulnerable to armor break.
As you say, I hopped in Elimination with and without Armor Break. Flat no effect. What a load of troll dung.
