im here for advice to enhance performance, regardless of the device.
Buy a new computer.
At the top of steam go to help and then view system info. Then just copy and paste.
gtx 1050
usually plays at 1920 x 1080

Other than that you can do the obvious things. All settings to low, reduce resolution, use the upscale options in the graphics menu if your GPU supports that.
so you've got a 1050, how much ram do you have and what processor.
it's important to know the processor as you could have a super weak one that's bottle-necking your 1050 and therefore stopping you from using all it's power / performance.
in terms of settings, keep it at 1080p and use fsr. Try balanced first.
If you have the nvidia app installed then use alt+r to bring up the performance stats to see if you're gpu is being bottleneck by your cpu.
you can tell because for example your cpu usage will be on 100% and your gpu usage will be sub 100%. The lower the gpu usage whilst cpu is maxed the more serious the bottleneck
Also play in directx11 and not directx12 12 is trash
That's not exactly true, hosting the game isn't gonna have much if any impact on performance; the level is generated before you actually play on it.
beside lowering all the settings to low, try swapping the rendering backend to DX12 and see if it runs better than DX11.
I've a relatively beefy PC for this game (180-240fps) in the HQ but some times when i'm out in a very open area + haz 5 difficulty in a full multiplayer lobby, it can even tank my framerate to as low as 60-70 FPS. This game is very CPU demanding due to how many bugs the game need to render.
low poly enemy mod
If your performance is still bad then it's your CPU and/or RAM holding you back and your options from that point are very limited. DX12 should help a lot, though you should compare both modes. Particle and environmental clutter removal mods may help, .ini tweaks may help if truly desperate.
But overall if your CPU is overloaded you simply need to upgrade.
