so, not a confirmed statement that they will do it. they've always been very noncommittal about announcing balance changes before they're confirmed and in the game (which is overall the right thing to do)
and honestly i doubt they will. overall community consensus is that conductive thermals sucks, they're not going to nerf it because you can sometimes use it to kill elemental-vulnerable enemies easier or freeze dreadnoughts a little bit faster
i think it's more likely they just won't change it at all because it at least has a use case, compared to absolute ♥♥♥♥♥ like burst fire GK2
