Is Corruptor way too strong or am I just bad?
First time encountering corruptor (usually play solo haz 3 / 4, this was haz 3).

He does RIDICOLOUS amount of damage, feels like I can do almost nothing while he is capable of insta-killing me in a matter of seconds.

I usually play Engie so that could be the case but overall, any tips to fight him? He just spits rockpox everywhere and you are constantly spammed by the rockpox larvas.

I just encountered one on haz 1 and that thing showed its teeth like a cornered rat. It's very mean for sure but I was playing solo and I had a "meme" build I guess (plus Bosco does not attack it at all lol). Fighting that abomination on normal hazards when mass of bugs are harassing you sounds like a nightmare for me BUT it's also because I don't know the patterns and strategies as of yet.

I just played haz5 mission with 3 other miners and a dreadnought spawned at the same time, so it was really chaotic, but from what I could understand, you just spew him with the cleansing equipment like regular meteorite and then just shoot it with guns in the now exposed weakpoints. Larvae is annoying as always, but you don't have to focus on the ground, since it will all be purified after it's death.

I went haz 3 solo and the moment I peeled off a layer I was just insantly swarmed, the corruption being where he moves is understandable but with the larvae on top of that...it's just unfun and annyoing to fight when alone.
even the new spitter is way to strong almost 3 shots you with shield "haz 4" btw

--Ground Spikes--
That is one of Corruptors fun attacks. It causes spikes to continuously stab-target hoam a player. I recommend keeping an eye for the terrain and continuously moving, and, if the damned thing is going the walls, then try to ignore it until the mission target is done.

TIP: If you play solo, try to lure it into a flat area w/ your turrets ready... BEFORE calling the cleansing pod.

Ironically I don't find the spitter that bad (not yet at least :D) They can be annyoing with the AoE spits, but they are visible from afar.

Didn't feel like making another/same thread about the same subject.

Anyway, I have just encountered this enemy and yea - it's nonsensical.
I mean, its damage and attacks wouldn't be a problem IF, once the armor/shell is off, the HP would melt. But does it? Nope. I have fully upgraded freeze gun, overclocked/modded for damage and it barely removes the HP. I kill everything with ease, including Dreadnoughts, using it, but this thing - shrugs it off.

Make this thing take immense damage, once the armor/shell is off and we don't have a problem. Else - we do.

Inb4 git gud. I was taking it on, in Hazard 3 - it should be a chill fight, like the rest of the game, on this difficulty, but it's not.

This thing is stronger than any Dreadnought and the Caretaker, literally. And this is supposed to be a side mission.

it's really spamy, too accurate and too strong. Also spawns too often and it's attack range is large.

Only did it once on haz 5 with a friend so far, at first it was a bit hard but the more we were fighting the more we managed to adapt
using the cleaning tool both on him and the trails he leave make it easier
all of its attacks seems to only be on the ground, so I assume paltform and zipline should help
being scout in this fight is pretty great since its all about positionning
if you find jetty boot this fight is way easier since like I said all of its attacks are on the ground

Good to know, I'm not the only one having trouble.

if you circle it at a decent speed and never get too close for too long it can't really do anything but run away

if you have high ground it can't do anything to you
it's not really that strong, but it has a lot of "make the floor hurt you" attacks that keep your shield down so you can take a LOT of damage from just being unaware. be sure to foam up the ground where it walks to clear the spines out and you should be fine. fighting it is kind of a slog if nobody's making sure to handle vaccuum duty though.

So far my experience is that it either just walks around in circles going "duhhhh" or wipes your whole team out in about 5 seconds

From my own experience, it's only dangerous if you make the mistake of standing around it or on the ground it corrupts.
Most deaths were from trying to revive teammates that were on rockpox ground. That thing does a lot of damage, and quickly.

I do agree that the way it takes damage after its armor is stripped off is strange. Being a sludge pump Driller, I couldn't seem to do much of anything to it while the team's Engineer just blew a third of its health in a flash.

The larvae, however? A complete non-issue. Just run in their direction and they'll kill themselves trying to attack you. Worse comes to worse, set up turrets and they'll make short work of the worms.
