Stop leaving missions!
Why do people join Haz5 lobby, but then leave after accidentally waking up Korlock or just when the mission doesn't go smoothly?!
If you don't want challenge just go play Haz4

Well most times it's the people who join and then leave that are responsible for waking him up.
While i agree it's the dumb mob, but i will fight till last dwarf, not like I can do anything after it wakes up

People who leave when things go bad are such losers. For one, if you want to have high effort sweaty gameplay, play with skilled friends or post a LFG on the Discord. And also, coop games are at their best when things don't go smoothly. A team pulling itself out of a sticky situation is the most fulfilling, heart-pumping ♥♥♥♥ that keeps me coming back to games like this.

Not like they would have been useful when they join my Haz 5 games. I've taken a break from playing this game, so nice to know things never change.

Most of the time the reason that people leave midway through a mission is because it is genuinely easier and more worth while to join a different lobby then fight tooth and nail to salvage a fubar situation. Did you decide that fighting a corestone was more important than protecting doretta or that starting a machine event during a dread fight was a great idea? Well then guess what, you can kiss your level bazillion gunner who has been playing the game since early alpha goodbye because he isn't keen on going uber sweat mode just to get his ♥♥♥♥ rocked and earn a handful of crafting resources for 15 minutes of 'work'

I'm not here to say that it's right or justified (most of the time) but that is the thought process and honestly if you're making stupid plays on Haz 5 or above you deserve to be left in the dust. Haz 4 on the other hand, just tough it out you big ♥♥♥♥♥ baby, you can pull something out of your ass to save the day.

The most difficult and least enjoyable part of this game, is other players. The most enjoyable part of this game, is also other players.

I did a string of haz 3's today with an unpromoted group that would open core stones on sight, start machine events on sight, dread eggs, begin primary objectives like it was a speed run urgency, not do secondaries, start things during swarms, not clear swarms, spread through the whole cave, and would barely hit a single nitra vein or mine minerals.
All while they were routinely going down.

To think that I just wanted to do the weekly assignment quickly but stayed in because of how fast they kept rushing to next mission, but it kept me moving.

Just enough pressure due to the low haz, their lack of swarm clear and pace.
But I've had many haz 5s that were far less sweaty than being the scout for those three, that was ridiculous for that low a haz level.

They're gonna figure out real quick how this game works, when someone isn't gathering 4 out of every 5 resupplies for them while minimum matching the engie and driller's kills while they do nothing but rush primaries.

Bu that logic I should abort the mission as a host whenever some buffoon activates corestone without asking. At least it will be unfair to other players and not nice for me either.

And about "15 mins of work": That's Haz 5. If you need to rush assignments, go into Haz 4, where you can skip nitra and just generally speedrun. In Haz 5 you're expected to put in work. Not like anyone picks haz 5 for those extra 30% credits. It's difficulty for the sake of difficulty

And regarding the high levels: Never someone above Silver left on me, to the props of DRG community. It's always bronse or unpromoted

You really think those guys would be reading the forums?
I've been in some public lobbies where we would constantly fail like 3 or 4 missions in a row, and I noticed that I'm usually the one getting the most kills and minerals while the others are splitting off from the group and getting downed more often than shooting what's chasing them. No matter which class I chose. Sometimes these lobbies were with people several ranks above mine, I just assumed it wasn't their day.

As soon as I'd join a different lobby my luck would immediately change for the better.

Everyone manage their time and fun differently.

It's not rare that a team of random will make a 20 mins mission take over 40 mins for no reason at all.

The Korlok Tyrant-Weed is one event that I've seen a lot of players struggling to understand... and end up wasting a lot of time and ammo. Lack of knowledge of the event mixed with chaotic terrain can lead to a boring, long and not very fun mission a lot of time.

So when a Korlok is accidentally activated I'll evaluate the situation and might leave if it's too much pathetic or there is no "team".

I'm not enjoying much clutch moments or any types of carrying tbh.
I prefer when the team works together and is able to avoid sticky situation when possible by using strategies instead.
Like just knowing when to engage a Korlok directly, prepping the area or skip it and come back when the team is ready.

Yeah, I mostly agree.
It happened that I ended leaving a mission cause there was too much left to do and the timer was already near or above 30 mins.
I won't start an argument with an host about the mission taking too much time.
Again especially if the team is boring.

That's true for all games, even the game of Life ;)

That's a situation where I would leave them and just do it solo... often what happens for my assignments, I just do them solo if I want to go "fast".

Slightly offtopic, but just wanted to add something about that Haz5 gives 30% extra credits over Haz4. It is not really true in practice.

Warnings can give up to 60% bonus and the Cave length and Cave Complexity can give up to 20% each.
You could do an Haz4 mission that will give you 200% (100%+20%+20%+30%+30%).

I feel that a lot of new players might be playing Haz5 for that "fake" bonus.
Not rare that I see someone asking others on how to level up faster.

With the fact that there is unlimited revives and a lot of experienced players seem to love carrying, there is really not much incentive for them to go back to lower / more comfortable hazard level.
klork is just stupid and people dont have the atteintion span to learn how to kill it and another reason people leave not because klork and this like every asian player (not being racist its just a fact) will just leave because they cant handle a damm challange

Guys, stop exploding scouts with c4 without me
Very often people lose connection mid game and when real life knocks on their door. :lena_woahh:
