The only important info on there is what class it's for and whether it's a cosmetic or weapon OC, displayed by the Class icon you see; and whether you see a hat icon or a hammer and gun icon.
If you're having some kind of issue with your graphics we'd need more info on your specs and settings to help; an image of what you're seeing would be great too.
But yeah, sounds like you have a graphic bug. A screenshot would be helpful, but in the meantime do the 3 common fixes: verify game files integrity in steam, change the DX version at the game start (if you use 12, switch to 11 and vice-versa), and pray.
This is what it's supposed to look like (granted this is displaying three cosmetic rewards and 0 overclock rewards). If that's not what yours looks like, then there's some graphical bug happening.
Otherwise I'd suggest going through some of the options Jeanne recommended.
A kind player in group told me to hop on his discord server, and after beating event we were at, he showed me his screen. When he/I stand couple body distances away, the image over event box is very small (as described in my OP)
When he approaches the hologram, it gets bigger - a lot bigger, basically almost fills entire screen with the choices in your face (clear, big images of the gun + hammer, hat for cosmetic, etc)
However, the bug is when I approach the event box, no matter how close or angle I get, it remains the same long-distance view image. e.g. 3 vague objects in a tiny hologram the size of the event start trigger.
So good news is I know what it's supposed to look like and do for the choice. Bad news is some bug prevents me getting the larger images and game code just displays this really tiny hologram.
Normally, I'd say maybe driver issue, and to be fair - it still may be. Problem is I'm using the last known, very reliable and good version of nvidia's game ready driver from Dec 2024 - 566.36. Since then, they've had one bad release after another, with tons of ppl complaining about stability, DLSS4, framegen 2.0 and other issues.
Even the current 572.83 which is supposed to fix things from prior 3-4 releases is still complained heavily about on nvidia forums - and the solution for everybody is revert to Dec 2024, 566.36.
TLDR - really like DRG, but taking break and playing other library games, b/c changing drivers is not an option at this time. Have no mods, reinstalled/verified game, and even using bare bones graphic options (despite running on RTX 4090) doesn't help the image overlay issue. Not blaming DRG or devs, just not worth continuing when so many other games + time to play.
The reward is random anyways, you're just choosing a class and a type.
Also, that's only one of many ways you earn matrix core awards.
No offense, but I'm gonna chalk this up to you using a year old driver; since this is the first time I've ever heard of this issue in the entire lifespan of DRG.
I've had this happen before too, just not consistently at all. I'm sure it's happened to many people before -- it's not like you've indexed every single bug complaint that everyone has ever sent in...
I'd say it's a decently large issue. A lot of newer players want good/fun OC's like special powder or fat boy... It's significantly harder to get those if you aren't able to actually choose things like scout/engi OC's specifically and are given cosmetics more often.
But I would like to know what's up with being unable to update a year old driver. Personally I always use nvidia's latest drivers and I'm not sure if I've ever had any issues with them...
To be fair, they're not a year old. The drivers are from December, so 4 months or a bit less. People have been reporting problems with Nvidia's more recent drivers (black screens, stuttering, etc.), especially with older cards. At least two game developers are actually recommending anyone with a 40-series (OP said he has a 4090) use the December drivers, and anyone with an older card start with the latest drivers, but switch to the December ones if they have problems.
For the record, I'm an AMD guy, but I follow tech news, and the Nvidia driver problems have been pretty widely reported.
