Deep Rock Galactic
Player count.
It's been getting harder to find games as a SEA player compared to a year or two ago. Looking at SteamDB, the game went from steady 20-30k avg players to barely 10k. With release of Helldivers 2 and other co-op games recently, is this game going to die soon without content being released?

Actually, if you look at it from a lifetime perspective DRG has seen consistent steady growth, with your standard expected drops between season launches.

So no, the game is in zero danger of dying lol.

Also, when did it ever average 30k players? The highest average is 20k.

I highly suggest to change your distance to FAR as well, 8/10 I still have normal connection

Any person I've ever joined with a connection higher than medium has had an insanely unstable ping with erratic lag spikes.
Absolutely 0 problems here in Australia. Always a full group and all fun players too.

Every season has had increasingly less and less amounts of rebalancing and content outside of cosmetics, so It's not really super surprising to see player numbers drop some time after season launch in some regions. While similar games (with bigger budget, to be fair) keep pumping out new weapons, enemies, levels, objectives, perks, etc. Deep Rock hasn't had any significant change or breath of fresh air to the sandbox in quite some time (I mean hipster is still the only decent overclock for the m1000, and the crossbow is still super niche, and they had plenty of time to change that. Just as an example.). As such it can't compete very well, people get bored, move to those other games. Cosmetics can only keep people engaged for so long, even if they're free.

I'm very happy with the current state of deep rock, and I play it regularly 1-3 times a week, but I can see why some people, like my friends, have started to get bored of it. But to be fair, the game isn't exactly new anymore, it was bound to happen at some point.

The game is still lively enough though and I doubt that's going to change. But it's not the content that is keeping people here, but the people. The game and its community are extremely social and friendly compared to pretty much every other multiplayer game on the market.

Other OC's for the M1k are generally considered superior by the community, and the crossbow has multiple popular and amazing OC's/builds.
