Cheaters becoming more prominent?
The past two sessions I've played DRG I've encountered someone cheating.

First was a driller throwing incendiary grenades, with bronze 1 levels of friendly fire game sense, and this time, a speed running scout with infinite ammo and like 10x rof on his primary, deleting everything while missing every vein on his way to the bottom of the cave like he's trying a haz 20x stream solo, and wasting an entire event.

I don't care if people run modded servers and do what ever, so long as they label them, but it's not "fun" playing with these people. I wish they'd go away from pub vanilla lobbies.
Obnoxious encounters.

Anybody noticing an uptick in cheating or is this just a fluke on my end?

Host your own games mate and then if you notice them you can kick and block them, they also cannot mess with stuff like your ore and gold and stuff, you join them though and they can mess with all your stuff as well.

you're right, two lobbies out of the thousands of games played every day is definitely solid evidence

Think you could not be a rude little pile and just answer 'haven't seen any, myself, no" then, or is there something very mentally lacking in you Kestral, that would be very instantly corrected.

Kind of response is that.

But is he wrong? (No.)

he is just a poor guy, he coments every single thread from at least 6 months ago, just ignore him like everybody does. there are like 4 or 5 guys that do the same thing he does. they'll be posting here soon enough

I've only seen very few people using "cheats" that aren't hosting over total hours, most label their lobbies as modded if they are altering the game, those that don't tend to be obvious fairly quickly. The majority of "cheaters" are [eople obviously modifying their ranks and I imagine collecting OC's.

So in my case yes I certainly have experienced an uptick in encountering cheaters in the past couple days and weeks, comparatively speaking.

If more experienced what I have past coupld weeks, that would be a trend. At least for the player base in this region.

I consider what he has to say, he has points often enough. They can hit well like c4 on top of a caretaker sometimes.
Approach could be corrected though.

One of the most blatant times i have seen someone do it was actually quite hilarious and it was a gunner that obviously had an ammo cheat he aimed straight down with his autocannon and hovered in the air whilst drilling with his non stop fire until there was a huge crater underneath him haha.

Last cheater I saw was probably a month or two ago. This scout was running infinite ammo when I noticed they were not running out of arrows shooting the crossbow. Another was a couple months back when I noticed this engineer infinitely firing fat boy nukes. Didn't take that long for me to notice and I kicked them out.

Cheaters are pretty rare to see in this game. If you notice something sus when players join your game, kick/ban them.

Being rude towards people is a much greater failing than misspelling a word.

Sure, I could prolly manage that.

Haven't seen any, myself; no.

its probably because the game doesn't do any checks for cheating. i won't name the programs but you can literally use free cheat tools in the game without any consequences

it doesn't need to because it's a p2p game and hosts can just kick/ban cheaters on sight
or if the host is cheating, just leave the lobby immediately

Centralized servers vs p2p.
