Phazyonite is (largely) useless
I would love it if they released a weekly rotating store that featured exclusive skins purchasable with the currency, or even overclocks available for purchase. Thoughts?

It's hardly fomo if its on a rotating weekly basis, especially if it's only usable with the earn able currency that (for the most part) it's never used, touched, or even bothered to be mined in peoples games, because it is largely just a waste of time.

Do you also think this lunar event is fomo because the hats aren't earnable every day of the week, every month, all year long?

The whole point of phazyonite is to allow greenbeards to buy cosmetics without sacrificing currencies needed upgrades. Making it directly useful would defeat its intended purpose.

Exactly this. It's not meant for players who've had time to get credits.

Event cosmetics are a bit different since they're tied to the event that rotates by the calendar. Why would they add rotating cosmetics (that are not tied to anything) to the shop? Why not just add them straight to the shop so they could be bought any time?

No thanks. You can keep the predatory business practice to other games.

Try reading post #3.

Oh yeah, let's do this:

"I have all the overclocks and cosmetics so gold and all the minerals are totally useless for me since I can't use them for upgrades anymore. Please give more cosmetics that I can only buy when it's full moon, the second saturday of June or on the independence day of Faroe Islands, of course make them rotate randomly to add some SPICE to it!"

Sarcasm aside, resources are as infinite as you make them by collecting but OCs and cosmetics are not. All the currency has it's uses before they inevitably become more or less completely useless.

Wow that... solves absolutely nothing.

"I won't mine this for some extra xp and to help out these bronze star pub dwarves get funnee hat."

"Wait a second, so now, I only get to spend it a little over time?"
"...but I already have a stockpile of thousands this stuff for myself so...

"I won't mine this for some extra xp and help out these bronze star pub dwarves get the funnee hat."
Not only does this not solve the problem, it's an objectively inferior system to what we already have in the game; A smaller amount of available spending opportunities that are time-gated.

What you actually want are more cosmetics to spend Phazyonite on.

It's meant to help beginners be able to engage with the store instead of having to ignore it to buy upgrades.

It's just like any other resource, everyone will eventually outgrow their need for Phazyonite/Magnite/Barley Bulbs/whatever as they rack up 10k of each and have nothing left to purchase.

It was funny when you said new skins every week lol.

The same place you claim perk points. It's another tab in that monitor.
