bulk detonator varients
ik i may be killed for giving gsg this idea, but the beastiery says bulks are just exploders that grew up without exploding. theoretically, that means radioactive and rockpox bulks could exist, and there could also be a crassus exploder.

the bestiary isnt a theoretical, they literally said bulk exploders are just exploders that grew up and didn't explode as a youngling, so if bulk gold exploders exist, where are the normal gold exploders?
we might of just not found any yet
radioactive and rockpox bulks might just not exist because of some biological thingy, but crassus exploders likely exist

It would be cool to have a radioactive detonator, maybe leaving a permanent radioactive zone once it explodes. Rockpox is a more recent infection on the planet so they likely haven't aged enough to become detonators, yet. It may be that the crassus is a very old detonator which developed gold armor after eating enough dwarfs/lootbugs so they don't have an exploder counterpart.
good point delta
they should make a bulk that covers the terrain in constantly spammed forum suggestions

it blows up and you just see "FEMALE MEDIC HAZ 6 SHOOTING RANGE" covering the walls

I can't say that's a good idea. If a team were unfortunate enough to get a radioactive bulk on a mission like Escort or a mini-mule one, and the bulk explodes in a triangulation zone or where dotty needs to be (or if a triangulation zone spawns in an irradiated zone), the mission is straight-up impossible.

"Well at least, GSG could program it so a fuel pod wouldn't drop in an irradiated zone" like no they wouldnt do that though, that'd just compound fuel-pod drop zone restrictions even more than they already are.

It's a super fun idea but there's a reason why there have never been things like this (completely blocked-off zones in a mission) in DRG before... It's just not how the game is.

This sounds like something that would make defence missions like Salvage more insufferable than they already are.

That is a good point perhaps a temporary radioactive zone would be better.
maybe it turns the exploded rock into uranium, and you can mine it to remove the effect, like a crassus

UGH...i just had this horrible vision of a Rockpox Bulk that blows up into a few hundred pox larvae....
thatd be very cool looking but very annoying gameplay wise
good job
