why does my game keep crashing if I alt tab now ?
I have never had this issue before, yet now it crashes every single time. I dont play with mods or anything... It is really annoying. Also it has now crashed by just finishing a mission.... I reinstalled the game, the hope being that it would fix it.. but now :hssbskull:. It has made the game basically unplayable for me now :(

ps, I tried launching it in safe mode but that didn't help either :steamsad:
I don't really know what could be causing that, but my two pieces of advice are:

1. Do a full reboot of your computer. This is a go-to troubleshooting method that can solve like 90% of problems.

2. Verify the integrity of the game files. I assume you probably know how to do this, but if you don't, don't worry, it's not anything scary or complicated.

Simply go into the game's properties menu (You can get there by right-clicking it in your library and clicking "Properties"), go to "Installed files", then hit "Verify integrity of game files".

This simply checks to see if all of the files are present, and if some aren't, it will re-install those files. This can also fix a lot of problems.

I hope this helps, I can't really give much more advice, I'm not very good at troubleshooting.

Well I have tried both of those and sadly it didnt fix it. Thanks for the help anyway though :catpumpkin:
see if forcing dx11 or dx12 changes anything
Alt tab crash in 2026? What is this, skyrim?

Try borderless windowed mode if it wasn't like that already. And update your drivers maybe?

Dang... I don't know of any other way to help. The best advice I can give is to try and look up discussions or pages with a similar problem and see what worked for them (Assuming they fixed it).
