Does aborting an assignment reset its progress?
I was wondering whether aborting an assignments works in the same way as failing a deep dive.

Does it "just" reset the progress so you can re-choose the assignment later on?

I assume the assignment-missions you completed before aborting the assignment do not give you a special bonus the second time you complete them?

An example would be the weekly core hunt. Let's say I complete the first mission and abort afterwards. If I my assumptions are correct I can retry but will not get a second blank data core.

*Just realised hasn't reset a single assignment since the very start*

Damn, that's a good question. But I guess the extra rewards for already completed missions won't be recieved. Just like Deep Dive.

This assumption is correct.

When they introduced the assignment it was bugged so the progress counter didn't reset when the assignment did. Everyone finished it the week it was introduced, and then played it again the second week and got absolutely nothing. That was a fun one.
