Sadly, DRG have stated time and again there is no system they could design that could not be abused to grief even more.
This is especially important if you want to increase your chances of getting through the games harder game modes.
Sometimes the griefing needs to be nipped, and other times... it is what it is.
Some missions you fail, 'cuz someone else was a ******. Shrug. Move on. 98% of my Rando experience over last two years would say it's not an issue. And sometimes a perfectly wonderful team will completely ravage you on the way to the Pod, just 'cuz. :) Remember that you still get a complete if at least one dorf gtfo.
Only the host's blacklist would be checked.
The downside is that people would make lists of bad actors and someone could try and publicly frame someone to get them blacklisted from other people's games. Someone could make a big list of genuine bad actors and throw in someone who they don't like as revenge. Someone could use these Steam IDs to hassle players directly long after something happened. Someone could get in a position where so many people have blacklisted them that they have a hard time joining an online match.
I still think it's the best solution. When someone does something absolutely awful it at least gives players the power to never play with that person again.
I'm grateful that teamkilling isn't a big issue.
A bit FF then and again happens, even more so if the team fights in a poor spot.
They could have some FF tracker, if it's beyond normal numbers...brain chip activates and explodes.
