Deep Rock Galactic

Deep Rock Galactic is now 20th highest rated game on Steam.
Impressive. Yet another proof that you don't need a multi billion dollar studio with hundreds of employees to create a great game, just a couple talented and passionate people. It's a little bit depressing seeing a once beloved Triple A studio slowly turn into nothing but a shell of its former self or even completely shutting down but at least on the other hand we also have a bunch of amazing Indie games. If not for Indie games I don't think I would be gaming much nowadays. DRG became one of those games I can always come back to when I'm bored or got nothing else to play.

Anyway, enough yapping I guess. Thank you GSG, you guys are awesome and I can't wait to get my hands on DRG: Rogue Core.

Yeah public companies are great at screwing up games(their major investors don't know shat and their boards either; They are late to consumer trends(Look at all the battle passes and nobody buying them because we don't want them) too while private companies can shift real easy to what is good.

yeah they make great games (even Deep Rock Galactic Survivor is good). Seems like "Coffee Stain Publishing" has a way of finding great devs and publishing great games

Ghost Ship is the publisher, not the developer, of DRG:S.

And I'm waiting for Season 6.
Too bad, it's gonna be a while yet.

Well their roadmap says that closed alpha playtest for Rogue core will begin in Q2 2025 and then Early Access in Q4 2025.

I mean, we can.
It's just that, I'm only interested in DRG.

I'm fairly certain that GSG just kind of spread themselves thin for a while. With Rogue Core coming soon(tm), and the publishing work GSG do now, and the licensing for games like Survivor having their own league of paper work to deal with, PLUS the work they are doing for S6 of DRG proper, it seems like they took on a lot of work all at once and everything slowed down as a result. It's still great work, but it's understandable that people are a little worn by the down time. I still have a ton of OCs and cosmetics to get, so I'm set for now, but a lot of players have been here since the start. They just don't have that much to do while GSG is doing all of the paperwork.

We could still get holiday events in DRG. Also, you could tide yourself over with Earth Defense Force 4.1, 5, and 6, Vermintide 2, Darktide, and Helldivers.

The programmers, QA, designers and artists are not taking care of the publishing branch.
GSG starting to publish other games do not affect their dev time.

They're also not working on S6.
They're making a new game. Making games take time.
